Observation write-up - Two observation forms and teacher observation form

To gain experience, I observed one of the experienced teachers at Jennath International School on the 8th and 9th of January. The name of the teacher is Mr. D. Kariyawasam. It is noteworthy to mention that this observation was instrumental in making my internship a successful one because throughout university life we mostly learned theoretical knowledge and this observation helped me to comprehend how to apply that theoretical knowledge in a practical context.

Moreover, during my internship, I also had to undergo two observations as a part of my internship requirements. The observations were conducted by an experienced teacher at the school.

In the first observation, I prepared and conducted a lesson for grade 11 students. The observer provided valuable feedback and he commented that I taught the lesson very comprehensively. Moreover, he instructed me to provide more examples when explaining the lesson. 

In preparation for the second observation, I carefully designed the lesson considering the feedback received and the observer recognized the structured nature of the lesson and praised the coherence of the lesson plan. I was able to manage the class as well as the time and the teacher highlighted that fact as a positive comment. The observer noted the fact that I explained the lesson well and I used the appropriate language correctly and effectively in the classroom. He instructed me to pay attention to make the students speak more to have a positive contribution to the lesson.
